Our Story

The Ithna-Asheri community in Winnipeg has flourished over the last 30 years. Seeing the need for structured Islamic education, ALI was officially founded in August 2005 to provide children and youth with an opportunity to learn about Islam, the Holy Qur’an, and the teachings of Ahlul-Bayt (AS).

Our Purpose

At ALI, we believe in fostering:

Spiritual Growth – Strengthening faith and understanding through discussions, learning, and practical applications.

Community Engagement – Encouraging students to be active members of society through leadership, volunteerism, and outreach.

Academic Excellence – Providing structured Islamic education alongside mentorship and tutoring support.

Recreational & Social Interaction – Organizing sports, camps, and social events to create a strong sense of brotherhood and sisterhood.
